Christmas always has its “25 Days of Christmas”, so why can’t Halloween have something similar. And makes me wonder, which holiday has more movies. There are so many movies that are either centered around the actual holiday or the story just happens to take place during that holiday.
This year I’ve curated a list of movies to kick off the Halloween season. These are movies I’ve seen and not some generic list I pulled from the internet. It’s filled with horrific movies as well as not so horrific. My plan is to watch one every night until the 31st but I may need to double up if I’m not able to so that will make things even more interesting. Let me know what you guys think!
1. Halloween (1978)
2. Clue (1985)
3. The Conjuring (2013)
Disclaimer: After the first 20mins I needed to turn it off. It scared me that badly. T. his time I’ll put my big girl pants on and suck it up. But if anyone wants to join me, let me know. Safety in numbers!
4. The Exorcist (1973)
5. Little Monsters (1989)
6. Scream (1996)
7. The Shining (1980)
8. Silence of the Lambs (1991)
9. Poltergeist (1982)
10. The Omen (1976)
11. Psycho (1960)
12. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974 and 2003)
13. Rosemary’s Baby (1968)
14. Carrie (1976)
15. The Ring (2002)
16. The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005)
17. Saw (2004)
18. Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
19. Friday the 13th (1980)
20. Paranormal Activity (2007 - 2012)
21. The Blair Witch Project (1999)
22. The Grudge (2004)
23. Alien (1979)
24. Aliens (1886)
25. Jaws (1975)
26. The Strangers (2008)
27. The Amityville Horror (1979 and 2005)
28. The Ghostbusters 1 (1984) and The Ghostbusters 2 (1989)
29. Hocus Pocus (1993)
30. The Sixth Sense (1999)
31. Beetlejuice (1988)
The Conjuring is scary but good. Add the Nun 2005
Great list….💪🏾👏🏾👏🏾. I personally would replace Blair witch with Evil Dead and 2 other movies with Hellraiser (1987) and Candyman (1992) but that’s just me. The fun thing about this idea is that you can go years watching so many movies without repeating them.
